London calling (1 of 1).jpg

Welcome to my website.

My works primarily spans street photography, and long-exposure images that blur the line between photography and painting. Bruce Gilden said “if you can smell the street by looking at the photo, it’s a street photograph”.

Henri Cartier-Bresson’s photography often centred on the “decisive moment” and the relationship between your eye, heart and head when taking a picture. My photographs mostly move between three intentions: to capture a moment, tell a story and explore aesthetic beauty.

I’m drawn to vibrant colours, shifting light and the drama of shadows, and I try to take pictures that capture the immediacy of life on the street and the quiet poetry of reflective landscapes.

William Klein said “I photograph what I see in front of me, I move in closer to see better, and use a wide-angle lens to get as much in the frame as possible”. In trying to ‘feel the scene’ you have to get close and personal, and Klein said you need to be “an intimate participant in the picture”. I want to get closer to the picture and immerse myself in scenes to create photographs full of atmosphere and alive with detail. I’m always looking for light and shadows and for backgrounds that either connect or contrast with the subject.

In 2019 I achieved my LRPS (Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society) and in 2023 my ARPS (Associate of the Royal Photographic Society). My successful ARPS panel was featured in the RPS Documentary Group’s Decisive Moment magazine, April 2024 Edition 29.

I am now working on a project for my FRPS (Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society).

Garry Winnogrand said that “great photography is always on the edge of failure”, while Dorothea Lange said “a great photograph is one that fully expresses how one feels, in the deepest sense about what is being photographed”.

In the summer of 2025, I was a founding member of Warwickshire Photogrtaphers Collective. The aim is to support local community groups to amplify their voices and celebrate stories through photography. We currently have a number of projects in train.

Constantine Manos said “it’s easy to take good pictures, difficult to take very good pictures and almost impossible to take great pictures”. I’m continually learning, with the aspiration of one day taking a great picture.

Whether in the energy of the street or in the stillness of a long exposure, my aim is to take pictures that invite you to look again….and again.

We are all constantly looking for inspiration, but the most important thing is to keep practising and taking pictures. I hope that you enjoy looking at mine.
